Lots of New Photos!!

I can't wait to start working on pages for these pictures!!

The top two bunny ear pictures are obviously from Easter. Mike didn't think it was right for a boy to wear bunny ears but unfortunately for him my family is all women and he was out numbered! He was fuming that Stacey got him a Dora Easter basket! All of the other pictures are from the park. Drew and I went Friday afternoon and Mike joined us on Saturday. It was so nice to spend the weekend outside!

Now is the time to stop by Scrapbook Generation!! I came in today to get some class stuff and decided to get a bottled water out of the fridge and couldn't even get to it because of all the boxes! We got a ton of stuff in today and if I heard mom right, this isn't the last of it!

I'll try to post my class stuff on here sometime but I'm not promising anything. The end of the month is my crazy busy time. I have to get my card kit club stuff together and cut and packaged. I also have to get my class displays finished and come up with my classes for the next two months! It takes me forever! I doubt I'll post again before the weekend. Have fun!

My 5 Favorite Things @ Scrapbook Generation Right Now

1. Making Memories - Specialty Glaze
I haven't bought any of this yet but I'm excited to try it out!! Even though I'm sure we've all had our fill of cold weather, this stuff would be great for a winter snow page!

2. KI Memories - Surprise line
I would have to say that KI is my favorite! I'm sure I'll be using this on Drew's second birthday album. It would definitely work for a boy or a girl. I love the felt flowers, double sided paper, stickers and ribbons! KI always has such fun and colorful product. Did I already say they were my favorite!

3. Prima - Mini Me Flowers
These are just too cute! They come in three different sizes and more colors that you can imagine. You get many different styles and shapes of flowers in each package. I'm pretty sure I bought every color we had! I'm going to use them with my stitching, maybe inside a flourish.

4. BasicGrey - Patterned Paper
BasicGrey is like a staple for every scrapbooker! I love the newest lines, they are so eye catching! I think out of all the patterned papers I have, I've got more BasicGrey than anything else. The thickness of the paper works great for the base of your page without having to back it with cardstock!

5. Colorbox - Fluid Chalk Ink
This product has grown into a must have for me. Just like the Prima flowers, I have these inks in every color. They are great for edging and for stamping. Plus the variety of colors guarantees that you will have the perfect color for any project you are working on!

So I have decided that I'm going to try to do a weekly challenge on my blog. Maybe a monthly!?! What I'm going to do is this: Pick out a certain product to feature. I'll try to use mostly new stuff but I'll might also throw in some new twists on an old product. I'll create a layout using the product and post it on my blog. Anyone who wants to participate can email me a picture of their layout using the product. (I will always be using product from Scrapbook Generation so the product I'm using will always be available to you. I don't want anybody to have to hunt something down!) Then I will pick a winner or maybe draw a name out of all the entries? Not sure on that part of it yet. If you have any suggestions, let me know! I also need to decide on prizes. Maybe a gift certificate to Scrapbook Generation, product, or attending one of my classes for free. I'm not sure yet but I'll talk to mom and try to get it all lined out soon!

The other day we decided to retire my HOF balloons. They were starting to look a little sad! They kind of stayed low to the ground and Drew loved running through them and getting all tangled up. It was HILARIOUS!! Stacey and I were laughing so hard we almost peed our pants. All you could see was a big cloud of balloons and occasionally you would see a little red head hiding in the middle. You probably just had to see it to get the humor.

I'm really stressing over my HOF assignment. I just really want it to be a GREAT page. I had one done and liked it but it just didn't make me go wow. The other day I got a great idea in my head and have been working on it since. It's really different and hopefully CK likes it! I think I'm going to love it...if I could ever get it done. Lots of stitching on this one. Not like that's a big surprise!

I've got a few classes coming out that you should check out. There should be pictures of them on our website. I've got a link on the right side if you want to check them out. You should defiantly check out Stacey's "MOM" letters class. They are so beautiful! She's getting so good at those letters!

Hope you have a great weekend!!

I tried to post some goofy pictures of Drew from the other day but I'm having a little trouble with blogger.

I'm not to talkative today...or typeative today. Mike kept me up till 4:00 a.m. with his outragously loud snoring. I'll try to post soon though!

My latest. The top, I'm not too crazy about. It was for a page call and I had about one day to get something done and sent in. I love the picture of Drew with markings all over his face and it was a fun layout to create. I actually colored on the chipboard title with crayons to fit the theme of the layout. I got to a point with it that I thought it needed more and ended up going overboard. Defiantly not one of my favorites.
Oh well. Happens to the best of us!
The second page I love! I had started working on it months ago but set it aside so I could get caught up on my class stuff and finish my HOF entries. I've been trying to make myself get some older photos on a layout before I forget what I wanted to journal about. I did short and sweet journaling and then listed everyone that visited Drew at the hospital when he was born. I love the photos of everyone holding him, especially the biggest photo. Unfortunately, I have very few pictures of my dad and Drew.
Okay, changing the subject.
I got my first assignment!!! This will be my first published page!! I'm so excited!
And terrified!
And excited!
And terrified!
Okay, I'm mostly excited. I just don't want people to look at my pages and say "How in the hell did she get picked for HOF!" I'm trying to look at it as I will be making pages that I love and if everyone else loves them too, fabulous. If not, it doesn't matter to me (total lie...it does matter to me a little, I'm sensitive!) Drew will have a ton of albums to admire when he grows up.
