Cool Article About My Blog

ScrapStreet Magazine did a really cool online article about my blog that you can find by clicking here. It is an interview with me that shares how Sketch Week became a part of my blog and how I got into creating sketches. Plus, there is a new sketch and several examples from some super talented scrapbookers.

Here's the sketch...

and here's the page I made from it.

I love the simplicity of the sketch and the fun things you can do with it. The grid background is a great way to add a lot of patterns and colors and by adding a simple mat around the three photos in the middle it keeps those photos from getting lost in all the color.

Here's another layout I made based off the same sketch that isn't in the article.

I wanted to add a few more photos so I cropped the width a little smaller. I didn't worry about exact measurements on the photos and just cropped them so that I wasn't cutting off any of Drew.

Be sure to go check out the article to see what everyone else did with the sketch! :)

  6. Love the idea of having all the other artists. I love your style Ali but seeing what others do helps me a lot. Ali, will this sketch be included in the printable ones with the paper sizes included? Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

  7. I love love both layouts. The papers from both are so fun on the first one and so boyish for the second one, I need that kind for Sam. This is a simple sketch which will be easy to use. Congrats on your article, will read it tonight. Hope all is going well with you and family.
