A new week, a new challenge (and a new giveaway!)

Friday

Have you ever had a page that just didn't quite turn out the way you had hoped. I did on Friday! That ribbon "A" gave me more trouble than I think anything ever has and the page still didn't turn out as I had thought it would. Oh well. It happens!

Saturday

On this page I used tulle along the bottom of the patterned paper squares with a stitched line going across them. I also used tulle behind the buttons on the tree.

I really enjoyed ribbon week and can't wait to start using it more on my layouts. Winners of the week #1 giveaway are:

Ribbon - lil-rosi
Just in Case kit - allie
Photo Placement kit - Jen Schmitt

Now that ribbon week is over it's time to move on to something new. This week: foam stamps and paint.

I loved all of these foam stamps when I bought them and I still love them now. I remember buying every single foam stamp set that passed through our store, and at first I used them all the time. I don't know what happened but I never use them anymore. After digging through them all yesterday, I'm excited to play around with them this week!

Sunday

I think Christmas might be my favorite event to scrapbook. I love all the possibilities to include the theme into the design. I used three different foam stamps to create the ornaments and then added my own little touches - stitching, glitter, brads and ribbon. (See the ribbon challenge was good for me. Usually I would have stitched the lines down to the ornaments but instead I used ribbon.)

And because I'm playing with foam stamps and paint this week the giveaway is all about the same:

All comments on every post this week will be eligible for the foam stamp and paint giveaway!

I love foam stamps. I have bought so many and hardly ever use them. Looking forward to seeing how you use them, especially the Lisa B. ones.

What did you use for that tree in the park layout? Did you buy it somewhere or make it yourself. Either way, I love that!! :D

Hi Erica, the tree is from the Power Flowerz Big Board Chipboard from Fancy Pants. I've had that tree sitting there for months just waiting for an opportunity to use it! :)

Your ribbon work is beautiful. Could you explain a little how you did the ribbon tree and the ribbon A?

Okay so that ribbon A may not have turned out the way you wanted but I think it looks totally fab!!!

I'm going to risk sounding totally dumb but here goes. With those foam stamps, how do you clean them? Do you just run them under water? I have a few sets but haven't used them because I don't know how to clean them.

Can't wait to see what you come up with! Love all your layouts! I am new to scrapping (2years) so I don't own any paint or foam stamps. Seems like they were "the" thing before all the clear stamps out now.

Oh good! I can't wait to see what you come up with! I've got those CK foam stamps and I have barely used them. I can think of one LO that I've recently used them on and that's it. I love how it looks, but I just forget about them..maybe in the same way that I forget about my ribbon stash?? :)

I only have one set of foam stamps and then like two snow flakes that are foam. I rarely use them these days, but they are fun! Can't wait to see what you do with yours.

Oh, I'm so excited to get more ideas for using foam stamps that you come up with! I love the few that I have, but I hardly ever get around to using the. Hopefully this week will inspire me to bring mine out more often.

Foam stamps are very fun, I just forget about them and tend to use the clear stamps instead. I love the tree in your second layout - very clever!

I love how you did the tree and A out of ribbon! So clever. Thanks for being so innovative and inspiring! I love your work!

I too just started using my foam stamps again. I LOVE them too, and don't know why I stopped using them like I did. I hope you pick me. I really like that font.
Thanks.
Have a great day.
