the fourth

I love the fourth. Like love, love, love the fourth. It is without a doubt my favorite holiday. I love that it's stress free. I love that I don't have to worry about gifts or costumes or money. I love that it boils down to spending time with family and friends, eating good food, watching fireworks and laughing at those glowing smiles on the kids faces as they dance around with sparklers. (Or in Drew's case, stand completely still and watch the sparkler in a trance like state. He was fascinated.)

I must say it's also one of my favorite things to scrapbook. I think stars might be one of my favorite shapes to use on a layout and the fourth gives me every reason to use them (and probably over use them!)

I hope everyone had a great Independence Day! We sure did!

Such a cute page. I love how you do mostly lineal pages! I'm hoping to come to SG at the end of the month. I'll be in St. Charles MO for a baby shower.

My new bundle migh be with me. I'd love to meet up with you!

I love using stars on my l/o also. Love how you scattered the stars from one page to the next, I will have to scraplift that idea, your boys look cute. I agree with you on how easy it is to celebrate this holiday also my favorite is Thanksgiving no stress. Have a good week.

hello Allison,

I have a question for you, in your SG blog I scrolled down and noticed on your June 18 blog it showed new items from KI Memories, I bought the boy hip chip button stickers. My question is can you show me a page using them with brads in the holes, I have done it but it doesn't look right to me so I always put them away but I really like them, please help if you can!!!! Thank you!! Hoping I win one of your sketchbooks tonight.

If you go to scrapbookgeneration.com and click on monthly page kits there is a layout I've done using those buttons. It's called the Boy Crazy kit club. I didn't use brads but I did tie embroidery floss through them. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for but I hope it helps! :)

Thank you for getting right back to me, I never thought to use floss for it. I looked at the kit idea and I've seen it before this time I zoomed in so I could see better and I do like it so I will do a page and if I could learn how to show you I will. Thanks a lot and yes Im still waiting to see who wins. Have a good week.

I love how the stars flow so beautifully throughout your layout. This is one of the prettiest layouts I've ever seen.
