One thing I'm already missing due to the colder weather is our weekly Nature Center walks.
It was a new tradition we started out of boredom on a sunny Sunday. The Nature Center has several walking trails throughout some very pretty wooded areas.
The boys love this place. They get to explore while Mike and I enjoy just simply getting out of the house and spending time together. We also have little games we play along the way like guessing how many squirrels we'll see (a lot!) and seeing who can skip a rock the furthest. Yes, it sounds a little Little House on the Prairie, but it's fun!
I think it's good for the boys to spend lots of time outdoors and not too much time in front of a TV. They love their video games but I think they also enjoy this just as much.

This is great for all of you. I love these pictures and that they are in the moment ones. Look how big they are. Getting my kids outside is what I try to do all the time. We have a place like yours and it has free explorer bags to take on your hikes. We love going there and exploring and enjoying the scenery. Now that it's cold they turned the inside building into a winter game event. You really walk on a game board and do what the popper tells you while singing a Winter Days songs. It's magical and fun.
Love the layout you did for this also. Good for you enjoying the simple things.
