A Giveaway, Simple Stories, and a New Sketch!

It's time again for another Simple Stories Life Documented post, a new sketch, and a giveaway!

Each month I'm going to be creating a sketch and layout that has one side following the more traditional route of scrapbooking and the other side using the Sn@p! Pocket Pages. It's a fun concept to combine the two. Especially for people like me that love the Pocket Pages and cards but still want to get in some regular scrapbooking too.

This month the sketch has 19 photos! That's a whole lot of photos on one layout! Here's a look at the sketch:

I have a ton of photos that I take with my phone camera and I've mentioned on here before how much I love Instagram for their cute frames and easy to use photo effects. This sketch was inspired by those photos.

With a large amount of photos but usually no more than one of each "event" I didn't want to try to tackle individual layouts for each Instagram photo. That would have taken way to much time. Enter the Simple Stories Pocket Pages to make my scrapbooking life so much easier! I was able to include 19 of my favorite Instagram photos on one layout and putting it together took very little time. Especially when you consider how much time it would have taken had I made individual pages for those photos!

Here's a look at my layout:

If you want to download the full sketch with all the measurements and directions be sure to go check out my post at Simple Stories. There is a link in my post, under the sketch. Plus, if you want to get a closer look at the details on my layout, there are tons of close up pictures showing a lot of the little details.

Last month I did a giveaway to celebrate my first post with Simple Stories and I think we should do the same thing this time!

To be eligible for the prize: leave a comment on this post AND my post at Simple Stories. Be sure to use the same name on both posts! I'll randomly select two people to win a copy of Scrapbook Generation's Sketch Fusion with Simple Stories.

I'll announce the winners on Thursday so be sure to check back then! I hope you enjoy the new sketch!

Just left some comments at SS. I am really considering adding some of these pages to my regular albums. I have such a hard time not including all the many pictures from special events and this would solve my problem.

I LOVE combining pocket pages with traditional scrapbooking. I can highlight my favorite pics with scrapbooking and still share the rest of the photos that help to tell the story.

I love this layout. I like the amount of pictures you are always able to place to get the most of any layout. I also really like your use of the paper and featuring the camera next to the title.

Love your layout. While I don't tend to scrapbook Project Life way, I do love the examples I have seen from it, and am happy to see ways to incorporate the idea into my everyday scrapbooking. Thanks for the chance to win!

I really love this type of aproach but am conserned about having something that will work on the back of the pocket page. I guess I just need to use them more and find out.

I love how you combine 12x12 with a pocketed page protector!

I too wanted to incorporate traditional 12x12 pages in my pocketed page albums and didn't think to make 2-page spreads. Thanks for the inspiration!

I am in the middle of this weeks PRT episode and am excited to hear what each of you says about getting started. I am in the process of switching over to a combined 12x12 and pocket page system and excited to see how my 2013 album is different and hopefully better than other years.

I heard you on PRT and totally enjoyed how all of you approach the creative process so differently. I love all of the approaches because each one appeals in a different way, and I have used them all, so thanks!
