Sketch Week, Day 1

Yay! It's Sketch Week! I love this week!

I'm so happy to announce that many of the Sketch Support creative team members will be joining in each month with Sketch Week! It will be much like last month when Katrina and Lynette both created layouts based on the Sketch Week sketch. It will kind of turn Sketch Week into a blog hop without the specific order. They will post their versions of the sketch on their own blogs and I will post the links to them here. I've missed working with these girls so I'm beyond excited to do this together! And, how awesome that there will be many more layouts for Sketch Week!

If you are new to Sketch Week here's a little run down of how it works:

Each month I'll be using the free download sketch that you can find in the Scrapbook Generation online store. (On the third Tuesday of the month we introduce a bunch of new sketches both as individuals and as groups of sketches that you can download for a small price. We also offer a free sketch each month. I'll post all information for the new July downloads tomorrow.) Today you are getting an advanced look at the free sketch since it is the sketch I'm using for Sketch Week.

This month the free download is a two-page sketch.

Scrapbook Generation's Free July Sketch
*available for download on Tuesday, July 16
 "I Love That Stinker Face"

Supplies - Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned paper: Simple Stories, Echo Park, and October Afternoon; Heart punch: Martha Stewart; Chipboard camera: Simple Stories; Stickers: Simple Stories; Alphabet stickers: Simple Stories; Embroidery floss: DMC

These pictures crack me up! I happened to be in a moment that I could catch Jackson's "stinker face", as we call it. I've had these pictures waiting to be used for awhile so when this sketch came along I thought they would be a great fit. I didn't change a whole lot on the sketch for this layout.

Variation #1 - This isn't really a big variation since I mostly followed the sketch but, instead of using stars in a row I used hearts.

I also added the chipboard camera and a small picture.

Variation #2 - I had a few more pictures that I wanted to include on my layout so I added three 2 x 2" photos to my layout. I added one on the left edge of the 7 x 5" photo. (see above photo) There was enough open space in the picture for me to add another photo there.

I also added two 2 x 2" photos on the right page. One of the photos is below the two 3 x 5" photos. I also added a few sticker embellishments with it.

The other one I added underneath the journaling.

Since the photos were so small I didn't need to make any adjustments to fit them in.

Sketch Week Giveaway

This week the winner of the giveaway will receive their choice of one of my online classes (Sketch Support, 6 x 6 Paper Pads, or Photo Arrangement Replay) or one of the sketch bundle downloads (Halloween, Fall, Christmas, Winter, Love, Spring/Easter, Birthday, Girls/Mother's Day, Boys/Father's Day, or 4th of July).

To be eligible you can leave a comment each day. If you just comment one day you have one chance, if you comment on two days you have two chances, and if you comment each day you have three chances. (If you comment twice on one day, only the first comment will be eligible for the random drawing.) After Sketch Week is over I'll post the winner of the giveaway on Monday.

Be sure to check back:

Tuesday (evening) - to get the information and links to the new July downloads
Wednesday - to see layout #2 for Sketch Week
Friday - to see layout #3 for Sketch Week
Monday - to see who won the download giveaway
