A New Simple Stories Sketch and a Giveaway!

I am so happy to be on the Life Documented team at Simple Stories. Not just because Simple Stories has been a favorite of mine from the start but because I'm really, really enjoying the concept of combining traditional scrapbooking with their Pocket Pages. It's like the best of both worlds! And, there are sketches involved too!

I see the Pocket Pages much like I see a sketch. One, because they can be a great starting point and two, they both make scrapbooking easier which allows me to have more fun with the little details and hand touches I like to add. The layout/sketch I made this month really shows that.

Here's a look at the new sketch:

If you want to download the full sketch with measurements and placements be sure to visit the Simple Stories blog and check out my post. You can find the link to download the sketch right under the picture of the sketch.

Here's a look at my layout based on the sketch:

There are a lot more pictures in my post at Simple Stories if you want to see all the little details.

Giveaway Time!

I'm going to do like I have in the past whenever I have a new layout and sketch posted at Simple Stories...a giveaway! I'm going to give away a copy of either Scrapbook Generation's Sketch Fusion with Simple Stories or Scrapbook Generation's Sketch Magic with Simple Stories (winner's choice) to two people.

To be eligible for the giveaway leave a comment on this post AND my post at Simple Stories. Be sure to use the same name on both posts so I know who is who! I'll randomly select two winners and announce them this Friday.

I love the divided page style for getting lots of pics on a page. I've worked on two pages worth of designs with this concept. I have the Fusion, would love the Sketch Magic! Thanks!

I too love playing around with the pocket pages, especially in my kids school days scrapbooks (only thing I scrap 12x12). So happy to see sketches for them now!

I love the look of the pocket pages, but I haven't tried them yet. I always love looking at your pages - they give me so much inspiration!

Very nice sketch! I especially like that 6x6 pads would come in handy if you didn't have the cards.

I also have both books already so I can be skipped for the giveaway.

This sketch rocks!! I love how the grid design on the 12x12 page complements the pocket page on the right. And how CUTE is that little cape you've sewn(?) on the boy figure. Cute layout + pictures and awesome sketch!
