Making a Splash

Each month I look forward to the Tools & Techniques column by Jennifer McGuire in Creating Keepsakes. There are always so many useful and fun ways to get the most of your products and really stretch your supplies. On Saturday I was so excited to see the May issue of CK waiting for me in the mailbox. I was in scrapbooking bliss when I saw that this month her column is using circle punches, which I have about a million of!

I couldn't wait to test out a few of the techniques and happened to have some pictures that would work great with the "wave" technique. I used three different sized circle punches to punch out the wave pattern on the dark blue paper along the bottom of my layout. Super easy and super cute! :)

Debbie, we do four retreats a year, two in the spring and two in the fall. You should be able to find all the information at www.scrapbookgeneration.com. If you can't find the information you are looking for, feel free to email me at alidavis1919@hotmail.com and I can answer any questions you might have. :)

It amazes me how you have done several "water" pages that all look like "Allison" pages, yet they all look different. You are so creative.

Thank you so much! :) I think water and summer types of pages are my favorite to do!

What a great LO! I love the waves and the big splash!
Thank you so much for the link! I haven't been to Branson in years, but I might have to plan a trip!

Love the page! I bought the same "wave" paper, automatically thinking.."ooh I could cut that out for a cool embellishment!" LOL The waves on the bottom and the bling are awesome too, can't wait to scrap the (what seems like) hundreds of pics of my boys and their water adventures from last summer, not to mention the upcoming one!

Hi Allison,
I love this water lo, waves are always fun to make. I'm checking my mailbox waiting to see the new magazine. You always do a great job. It doesn't seem possible for Jackson to be a year old already.

Guess what came today in the mail, the new CK, it's been pouring and windy all day this is just what I needed. I flipped right to your article first and love that Drew wanted to help you. These were great ideas on having help from the kids. My other faves were Lisa B. a day in the life-I have to do this and Ali E. ideas always fresh and inspiring. Have a great weekend!!

Allison,I was in SG and saw a LO you did w/ 3 large diamonds across the pg with some stitching and rub-ons around them. I was wondering what black geometric swirly rub-ons you used. (sorry not good w/descriptions)I know I've seen them but can't remember what company it is. I would love to find them-There are so many great pgs up at SG.I love the ideas they stir up! I'm always excited to get home to dig out my stuff after a good tour of the store! LOL
Thanks
Amy
