It looks like a new Guest Designer each month is going to become a new addition to Sketch Week! I like getting to show you guys some different styles with the sketches, so...if you would like to be the Guest Designer for November or December here's all the information you'll need...
To be eligible you'll need to email me at alidavis1919@hotmail.com with at least one layout based off a sketch from any Sketch Week or from any of our Sketches for Scrapbooking books with "Guest Designer" in the subject line. If you use a sketch from the books please let me know which volume the sketch came from.
November
• The deadline for entries is Monday, October 25.
• I'll announce the guest designer on Wednesday, October 27.
December
The deadline for entries is Monday, November 15.
I'll announce the guest designer on Monday, November 22.
I'm looking for all different styles of scrapbookers so everyone is eligible! You'll need to be comfortable with sketches and the ability to adapt them to your style. Another big plus is taking good photographs of the layout.
I'm excited to see the entries! :)

Great idea! Do you prefer 2 page layouts or are 1 page layouts accepted too?
Congratulations to all of the winners this month! If you don't already have any of these Sketch Books, you are in for a treat. You can't go wrong with any volume. :)
Ooooh, open call for guest designers. This is very exciting, and just might get me to overcome my shyness about sharing my layouts. (Big internal struggle going on right here.) This was such a good idea Ali!
Also, any news on big plans for Anniversary Sketch Week? I'm waiting with bated breath. I'm sure that I'll love anything you plan. Your blog is the BEST!
Sounds like a fun twist. Can't wait to see what people come up with.
I've been daring and sent an e-mail too.
Jody, I'll take all sizes. :)
Amy, no big spills on the anniversary sketch week just yet but I can tell you this... there are some big things in the future for sketch week. Lots of new additions at the beginning of the year. I'm so excited about it I can't hardly stand it. It's going to be awesome! You'll be able to figure some of it out before then because of some of the things I'll post on my blog in preparation for it. :)
Guest Designer? Hmmm...sounds intriguing!
OOoh I'm soooo excited to hear this! I just need to look and see what book I used on my LO's. I actually have one posted on my blog and another couple on a design team blog!
I've already sent an e-mail. I'm not sure what makes me more nervous ... being declined ... or being selected! Either way, I'm very excited about it.
oh my gosh I'm so excited! I just need to double check where the layouts came from & make sure I don't need to retake any pics :)
Hi Allison,
This seems like a fun idea but I have a question. Usually you are the one who picks out the sketch and change it every day and your guest uses that same sketch too. So does this mean if you pick our layout/sketch you will be using that sketch for the week and working off our idea?? Hope this makes sense for you to answer? Also, I've only copied the sketches you've done before so that means I have to come up with a new layout for a new sketch you haven't used, is that right? Sorry just want to get it right..thanks
I'm also very excited for your anniversary coming up and can't wait to see what's planned.
Oh what fun! Can't wait to see your Guest Designer! Thanks for letting us play along too! :)
I don't like being the one that has to do the declining! It's no fun at all! :)
Dawn, all the sketches for sketch week are new sketches so the person who is picked to be a GD will get a new sketch to make a layout from. Sending me layouts right now is just for me to get an idea of what their style is. You can use any sketch, no restrictions. It doesn't matter if I've used it or not. :)
Ok I get it now, thanks Allison.
Thanks for this opportunity. I hope we get to see what the entries are. I'm easily inspired by others. Wait...I guess that's just called scraplifting.
This sounds like a fabulous opportunity! I love 2 page layouts and your sketches are all sooo wonderful! I may just send you off an email! :D
