I'm so glad it wasn't a spider.

I have learned to be a little cautious when Jackson says, "Mommy I find this for you." Well, you would too if you had a fear of spiders.

A few months ago Jackson came running into the living room with his super happy, skip in his step, gallop that he does so cutely.

"Mommy! Mommy! I find something for you!"

I can see he's got something pinched in his fingers and from what I could tell it looked like a piece of lent or maybe a ball of dust. I reach my hand out so he can give me whatever this exciting thing is. Just as it hits my palm he says, "Mommy, I find a spider."

I may have screamed.
I may have swatted it out of my hand.
I may have accidentally swatted Jackson in the process.
It may have resulted in him crying.

So when we were enjoying a beautiful day outside and I heard Jackson say, "Mommy, I find something for you.", I was a little worried. I scrunched up my face and shoulders and slowly turned around to see what gross or icky thing he was about to hand me. And then I saw this...

He had found a heart shaped rock.

"Here Mommy." He may have handed it to me and stepped back quickly for fear of it resulting in the same manner the spider incident did.

I'll take heart shaped rocks any day!

This is so sweet Allison, how cool is that. Look how big he is and he is starting to look more like Drew now too. I would take a heart rock any day too.

Allison - you really should write a book "A Day in the Life of a Mom" with your stories and photos - They are wonderful!! I'm so glad that in spite of your busy schedule and that there are probably a ton of other things you could be doing to take up your time, that you appreciate how precious the everyday events are with your family.
