He rocked it

Drew's Kindergarten Spring concert was in one word, adorable. The kids were so cute, the performances were awesome, and my little rocker...well, rocked it.

I had so much fun putting together his rock star look and Drew even picked out the tie and hat on his own. I wish I could dress him like this everyday! He looked so cute!

He did get a little shy when we got to his school but as soon as he saw his friends reactions he was totally cool with the look.

When it came time for his big moment in the spotlight and he marched out with his guitar I couldn't figure out why he kept shaking his head at me as if he was saying "no." I know I was snapping pictures left and right but he's so used to that anymore that it usually doesn't phase him. I learned afterward that he was embarrassed because he got stuck with a hot pink guitar and didn't want me to take pictures of it. He then requested we grab a red guitar and re-take the picture (the first above).

How cool is that Drew, very cool!! I love his outfit and that you made these b/w is even cooler. I'm so glad your first school concert went well and he had fun. Take it from me each year they just get cuter and cuter up there. Thanks for sharing these with us.

Thank you guys!! He has got to be one of the most photogenic 5-year-olds in the world. He comes up with these little poses all on his own, zero "coaching" from me. It amazes me!
