Random thoughts and a layout

I will never forget this day. Drew and I were playing in the front yard when he walked up and handed me a small, sweaty handful of dandelions. He then leaned over, kissed my forehead and said "I lub you mommy." It was one of the sweetest moments of my life.

Nothing too eventful happened this weekend at the Davis house. I was in major get classes and kits done mode. Since it was the weekend and because my scrapbook room has been declared a disaster area (all it's missing is the yellow tape over the door) I decided that I would work at the dinning room table. That way I can still hang with the family but also get my work done. Anyway, Saturday night I was working. The TV was blaring. Drew had concocted a tee ball stand out of his tall blue Crayola "piggy" bank, a soccer ball and a large plastic spoon. Mike was practicing his UFC moves on Chewy. Baby Davis was having his own little fun by kicking me in the ribs. Our house was one big, loud, busy mess. I found myself stopping several times and smiling. (Yes, I know this sounds cheesy but I really did!) Four years ago Mike and I were the type that spent every weekend out. I don't know if we ever spent a weekend at home. We thought we were having the time of our lives then. It's funny how things change because I think we are having the time of our lives now. Saturday evening was one of those "ah ha" moments that I realized that it doesn't get any better than this. It was a great weekend!

This sounds like my house totally!! I love it too and love hearing all the commotion and giggles coming from the other room when I'm scrapping. I laugh sometimes out loud and my DH wonders what I'm doing. LOL!! Talk to you soon.

awww that's so sweet! Jalen did the same to me when he was 3. The first time was really really cute. after that I started to get creeped out by the weeds. but the sentiment, ahhh the sentiment!

Just reading this gives me the warm fuzzies. Little boys giving their mommies flowers and down-home days. Not much better than that!
