Drew's first scrapbook page.

This was such a fun way for the both of us to spend some time together.

I helped him only with the things that he can't do. He came up with the title and journaling all on his own but I had to put them on the page for him. I also pre-cut strips of paper for him to use since I don't think he's quite ready for the paper trimmer.

I admit that I would catch myself cringing when he would put something in an odd place and I had to stop myself from suggesting "better" places. I managed to zip my lip and let him do the work, although I was chanting silently in my head "relax!" Once I did we had a great time and he created a page that we are both proud of!

awesome!! I so know what you mean by not suggesting a better place for certain items. Kudos to you for letting him do his thing, it turned out so cute!

That came out so cute!!! And I'm proud of you for letting him do it his way!! I have such a hard time when the kids bring home art projects from school ... I want to take over and do the whole thing and its REALLY hard to hold back! You BOTH did a great job and SHOULD be very proud of yourselves!!

Drew's page turned out great!! I think it's very cheerful and may have to lift the color combos from his layout! It's great that you can do these things together. My little guy likes to do his "own thing" and I often freak out quietly on the inside but after it's over, we're both happy with the experience.

I know what you mean about "cringing" when your son scraps. My younger one has "helped" before and even made a couple of his own pages. Once I learned to relax, it made for some priceless work. Plus, I took photos and had something else to scrap!
