Definitely my favorite time saver is using a sketch (or a template!) to give my creative juices a jump start.

My time saver is to think about and sketch out ideas while doing other things. Like...nursing a five week old at two in the morning! LOL! :D

My time saving tip is to write my journaling ahead of time. Then when I'm ready to scrap my pictures I know what my title will be, what my journaling is and how much room I need for it.

A time saver is lifting a layout I love. I usually change it up a bit but the big thinking has already been done for me.

Lately I've been finding sketches a lot easier to use. I had trouble with them at first, but then I discovered that I could use them only as a starting point and take my work any direction. They can really help get you going!

Another scraplifter here to save time. Love using sketches as a basis for my layouts.

My biggest time saver is using sketches and I also scraplift a lot.

When I am cutting out several of the same item (stars for example), I put my pattern over three pieces of paper and cut them out all at once.

OK - so I'm anonymous and don't have to leave comments (I'm the one who cuts out several items at the same time using a pattern and several pieces of paper)

I pull together page kits ahead of time. Then when I scrap I do less "shopping" in my stash and more creating!

My biggest timesaver is definitely my blog. I write about things when they're fresh in my mind. Then when it's time to scrapbook, journaling is as easy as copy, paste and print. :o)

fave time saver is a sketch, whether it is mine or i am shamelessly scraplifting (giving proper credit to the artist is a must!)

an easier than ever thing for me it to save those scraps of white cardstock..i keep them nearby and use them to stamp/write greeting card sentiments...they also make great journaling strips...

My favorite time saver is to print my photos in collages. Then I don't have to spend time trimming them later.

Easier than ever solution--kits! I love getting kits so everything is already coordinated for me.

Thanks for offering up such great resources!

Hi Allison, thanks for the sneek peek, I can't wait to get my magazine. I still look at the first magazine for ideas. I like to scraplift when in a rut to save time or leave my pictures on the table where I pass by and look at them while doing chores, ets. By the time I sit down I usually have an idea to get me started. Thanks for the chance to win.

Using a sketch and pull together page kits!! :)

My time saving tip is a stack of
3x5 notecards. I keep them handy when I think of something that corresponds with a pic that I've taken and then I can easily file it with my pictures. I also use them to refine my journaling before I actually write it on my scrap page.

I love saving time by using an entire collection on a layout, and to make things easy for me I always clean up in between pages so I start with a clean slate. : )

My time saving idea is to scraplift an element on a page, and put my own twist on it. I have a problem looking at a blank page, but if I have one element to start with, I can run with it.:)

Using a Becky Higgins sketch book saved me time - and taking inspiration from YOUR blog. :) Would love this special issue.

Hi, I'm Traci. One of my favorite time savers is working on a couple of layouts at the same time. I pick a layout design ( usually scraplifted ) then I follow that design to make 2 or 3 layouts using different papers to get a unique look. I just make sure that they will go in diffrent albums.

I like to think about the journaling ahead of time.

also having a well stocked scraproom helps. I almost never have to run out to get that last something to finish a layout. I always have it on hand.

I love to have my photos printed with a plain white border. If I don't need it, I cut it off, but if I do (and I usually do) it's there and the pic is ready to go!

Sketches are more of a sanity saver than a time saver :)

I use sketches and I also scraplift. I love the Scrapbook generation sketch books the best! I also get a monthly set of page kits from SG: the Boy Crazy ones and also the HOF ones. I just used the All Star kit for a soccer layout, and it was fast and perfect! I would LOVE to have a copy of the new book, so thank you for the chance.

I love ordering scrap kits. It saves me all the time of going through my stash looking for the perfect supplies.

My time saver is using kits. All my supplies come ready matched and ready to go.

My Favorite scrapbooking time saver is to make "mini kits" as I have the time. These kits include paper, pictures, and other essentials then when I have time to scrap or am headed to a crop things are all ready to go and I don't have to worry if I forgot anything!

Shaz said...

I find that a time saver is to put together page kits. That way if I have a spare minute here and there to scrap I can grab a page kit and as I have already done most of the planning I can feel productive with being able to start putting the layout together even though I may only have ten minutes to work on the layout. I already have a sketch idea, journaling ideas and the majority of the layout pre-planned.

This idea books sounds great. Would love the chance to be able to own a copy.
