DVD Gallery Sneak Peek and a Giveaway!

This is one of my favorite layouts from the DVD gallery. This was my second attempt at stitched fireworks after the first attempt ended up looking more like palm trees and left me a little disappointed. This time I love the finished result. The jewels added to the center and the ends were a big help too.

As for the giveaway...

That's a lot of scrapbooking stuff! Actually, it's $150.00 worth of scrapbooking stuff! We've put together a mix of some of our favorite scrapbooking products and some of the products that we used in the instructional section of the DVD to giveaway to one lucky person. There is a lot of fun stuff from My Mind's Eye, Pink Paislee, Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker and more!

To be eligible for this giveaway you have to pre-order and then pay for the DVD. You can do that by clicking here. (This giveaway will not be from the comments on my blog.) For those of you that have already pre-ordered, no need to do anything, you're already in! Once the DVD arrives at Scrapbook Generation, we will contact you for your billing information. As soon as all the pre-orders are processed, we'll draw the lucky winner! Pretty sweet, right!?!

WOW THAT IS A LOT OF GOODIES!!! I'm already pre-ordered. I see a lot of things in that pile that I'm almost out of, I love it all such great colors. Thank you Thank you Ali. You layout is awesome. I love how you did the fireworks, must have taken you awhile. Fourth of July pages are my favorite to do right after Halloween. I like how clean and simple it looks with the fireworks. Now I really can't wait for the dvd to come, does this mean it could be any day now!!! I'll be waiting for the phone call!!!

DVD! DVD! DVD!

This has been a great week! I think I am as excited about this DVD as I was the Bon Jovi concert I went to on Monday. Seriously. (And we were in row 5, so that's a whole LOT of excited!!)

Hi Ali,
I have been sorting through all my scrapbook magazines in order to sell the old ones at a local scrapbook garage sale. Before I tossed them out I thumbed through the dog-earred pages to see if I needed to save any of them. Most of the magazines were from 2007 and 2008. I was amazed! Most of the layouts that I had marked were your layouts. I especially liked "Celebrating One" and "Sandbox snapshots".

The weird thing is that I didn't even know who you were until the 2009 CKC in Tulsa, where I bought about a dozen of your page kits. I was drawn to your clean scrapbooking style even back in 2007.

Later that month a lady at a crop saw all your kits I was working on and asked me if I had bought your sketch books. I hadn't even noticed them at your booth, because I was so blown away with your page kits. I immediately ordered them from your web site.

I have 3 boys ages 1, 2 and 4. Most nights I am totally exhausted. If it wasn't for your sketches and page kits, I wouldn't be getting as many layouts completed. Thanks for sharing your scrapbook layouts with all of us. Shari

Dawn to answer your question about wallet photos, at Walmart you get two of the same photo for about $0.50. I usually make a little pile of the second photos and let Drew scrapbook with them. He loves it and it helps to occupy him when I'm scrapbooking. :)

As for the DVD release date, right now the layouts are all being photographed and added right now. I think after that it takes around two weeks to duplicate it all onto the DVDs.

Lucinda, I really hope you enjoy stitching as much as I do. With stitching I really feel like the possibilities are endless. It's like it gives me the ability to add details that I can't with paper or embellishments.

Amy, I must admit that I'm a little jealous that you went to a Bon Jovi concert! What fun!

Shari, what a fun story. I'm so glad you shared that with me. It brightened up my day! Thank you! :)

Ali, you're so funny! Next time Bon Jovi comes to town you can come up and go with me. They're pretty awesome, and play all the great classics in addition to the new stuff.

Shari, I know what you mean. The first time I saw Allison's work was in the CK Scrapbooker of the Year book. I thought her work was both creatively stunning and accessible. She worked with a lot of pictures, patterned paper, and custom embellishments while still somehow leaving a lot of white space. It seemed like magic!

When her layouts started making the monthly magazine, I found myself thumbing through looking for that cute little red-headed son of hers to quickly find her layouts. She quickly became my favorite, and a real influence on my personal style.

I was lucky enough to be in Springfield visiting family, and made it a priority to get to the store. I bought some page kits, signed up for her monthly club, discovered the sketch books...and the rest is history.

Now, thank heavens for her blog and the store blog! With the recent changes at CK (which I won't go into too much detail about - but it seems that they just renamed Simple Scrapbooks) I feel lucky to have somewhere to turn to fill the creative void. Sketch week came along just in time!
